Markel precision extruded polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) insulated wire is supplied as a component to manufacturers of flexible and semi-rigid RF and microwave coaxial cables.
Conductors can be stranded or solid, silver or nickel plated copper or copper clad steel. Dielectric constant values and physical dimensions are tightly controlled to meet the requirements of each finished cable specification for the wireless infrastructure market.

Markel has broad capabilities to produce sully sintered PTFE coaxial cable core. PTFE Coaxial core can be used in coaxial cable designs for the Wireless Infrastructure, Aerospace, Defense, Test, and other RF and Microwave applications, in addition to all MIL-C-17 standard designs. Markel can insulate PTFE coaxial core from 32AWG – 9AWG in core diameters from 0.20mm – 2.90mm in solid or stranded Silver Plated Copper (SPC), Silver Plated Copper Weld (SPCW), or Nickel Plated Copper (NiPC).
