Plymouth Meeting, PA, USA (January 13, 2010) … Markel Corporation, producer of high performance products such as porous PTFE hollow fiber membrane, fluoropolymer tubing, and fluoropolymer insulated wire has introduced a new, breakthrough device called the Motionless™ ozone check valve.

This check valve is constructed entirely of fluoropolymers and has no moving parts. A truly revolutionary design, the Motionless™ ozone check valve provides an additional level of protection for ozone generators against the detrimental effects of water contamination. Ozone generator manufacturers and system designers have long been looking for new ways to enhance the level of protection for their sensitive ozone generating equipment and the Motionless™ ozone check valve, available only from Markel Corporation, provides this additional protection.

The Motionless™ ozone check valve consists of a number of porous PTFE hollow fibers mounted in an all-fluoropolymer housing, utilizing a patent pending process. The porous hollow fibers allow the free low pressure passage of ozone while preventing the backflow of water. This type of check valve is much more reliable at blocking or "checking" the flow of water than conventional mechanical check valves because it has no moving parts and is impervious to attack from ozone.

The Motionless™ ozone check valve from Markel Corporation is available in two standard sizes. Markel can also build custom units with different gas flow or water breakthrough characteristics to meet specific customer needs.
